Ketchum’s SCCO Leads Nation in Breadth of Residency Programs

Established in 1904, the Southern California College of Optometry has a long history of excellence in clinical education. Its residency program has evolved along with this history.

Residency is a post-graduate program optometry students may opt to complete in one of optometry’s subspecialties. Optometry students apply in their 4th year to the various programs and matriculate into residency through a matching process.

Featured here is an article written for Ketchum Magazine, Marshall B. Ketchum University’s online publication.  It describes what SCCO offers its students through its expansive residency program.

“Ketchum University’s Southern California College of Optometry holds a unique distinction that speaks to its commitment to advancing the profession nationwide: It leads all optometry schools in the nation in the size of its residency program, offering 50 residency positions in 23 programs across six states. The majority of programs are offered in California, but there are affiliated programs in Washington, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah as well.” (Read the entire article)Shot of Magazine Online
